Terms & Conditions — Stomerij De Kroon

1. Applicability
These general terms and conditions apply to all agreements between Stomerij De Kroon and the customer regarding the cleaning, repairing, altering, and preserving of textiles and garments. Deviations from these conditions are only valid if agreed in writing.
2. Offer and formation of agreement
All offers from Stomerij De Kroon are without obligation, unless stated otherwise in writing. The agreement is formed when the customer places an order and Stomerij De Kroon accepts it. Verbal commitments only bind Stomerij De Kroon after written confirmation.
3. Execution of services
Stomerij De Kroon commits to careful execution of the agreed services. All work is performed according to the standards prevailing in the industry. Stomerij De Kroon has the right to have certain work performed by third parties.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in euros and include VAT, unless stated otherwise. Payment is due upon delivery of the cleaned items, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Stomerij De Kroon reserves the right to change prices with reasonable notice.
5. Liability
Stomerij De Kroon accepts liability for damage to garments and textiles that is the direct result of an error in the execution of the service, excluding damage resulting from hidden defects. Liability is limited to the value of the specific garment, with a maximum of €250 per item, unless a higher value has been reported and accepted in writing in advance. Stomerij De Kroon is not liable for shrinkage or discolouration of textiles resulting from the composition of the material, unless this is the result of a clear error in the cleaning process.
6. Complaints
Complaints about the services provided must be reported in writing to Stomerij De Kroon within 7 days of delivery. If a complaint is justified, Stomerij De Kroon will re-perform the service or provide appropriate compensation. Complaints do not entitle the customer to suspend payment.
7. Collection and storage
The customer receives a collection receipt upon drop-off. Cleaned items must be collected within 3 months. After this period, Stomerij De Kroon is entitled to charge a storage fee of €5 per month. After 6 months, ownership rights expire and Stomerij De Kroon is entitled to dispose of the items.
8. Force majeure
In the event of force majeure, including power outages, fire, flooding, strikes, and government measures, Stomerij De Kroon is entitled to suspend or dissolve the agreement without being obliged to pay compensation.
9. Disputes
All agreements are governed by Dutch law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in The Hague, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
